service...
Today, after a 3 hour journey, I am in Suffolk. Servicing a few old grand pianos on behalf of a local tuner friend.
Early Saturday morning tune for rehearsals and a return tune this afternoon before the concert.
Early morning concert tuning for the Rye Arts Festival. This is a Bluthner which I know very well.
This work on a Richard Lipp grand went incredibly well. WNG carbon shanks with Ronsen Weickert hammers, specially drilled to our spec. Precision Touch Design with a dynamic lighter touch than standard. First time we have used this type of felt before. Sent off to our customer in Northern Ireland. The results were exceptional and a very happy customer. "The Ronsen Weickert Special is a premium, American-made piano hammer highly favored by piano technicians and rebuilders for its medium density, exceptional resilience, and pre-war tonal characteristics. Produced by the Ronsen Piano Hammer Company in the New York Catskills, these hammers combine historic German felt-making secrets with traditional, low-tension manufacturing."
