Take it away is an Arts Council initiative designed to help more people get involved in learning and playing music. The scheme allows individuals to apply for a loan of up to £2,000 for the purchase of any kind of musical instrument, and pay it back in nine monthly instalments, completely interest free.*Please note this is subject to credit checks. We have no say in this.

Find a piano you like, say £1000. Pay £100 ( 10%) and pay the rest over 9 months at £100 per month ( £900 left divided by 9 months = £100)

Example 2. Steinmayer 118cm priced at £2,195. You can put any amount of deposit but you need a minimum of 10%. So 10% is £219.50, and then 9 payments of £219.50

Example 3. Kawai K2 priced at £3,899. You will need to put down £1,899 as a deposit as the maximum loan amount is £2000. Then 9 payments of £222.22.

 

19.5% Apr Typical over 12,18,24,36 or 48 months

Money way undertakes the "Take it away" scheme but also offers other finanace options which are longer to help spread the payments but are interest payable at 19.5%Apr. The more deposit you pay, the less the monthly payments and less interest charged. Minimum deposit is 10%.

Example 1. Kawai K3 priced at £4,799. You will need to put down £479.90 as a minimum deposit of 10%.Then 24 payments of £215.52. Total amount to repay £5,172.42. Interest charged £853.32

Example 2. Kawai K3 priced at £4,799. You put down £2,000 as a deposit.Then 24 payments of £139.67.Total amount to repay £3,352. Interest charged £553.00

Example 3. Kawai K3 priced at £4,799. You put down £2,000 as a deposit.Then 36 payments of £101.12.Total amount to repay £3,640.21. Interest charged £841.21
